The upcoming shutdown of google reader :(
I'm sad about this. I mean, I do like Bloglovin' as a reader, but I just found google reader had so many great features and stats to look at.
Like- I can differentiate between blog followers and blog readers on google.
On Bloglovin it only appears to show blog followers.
Organizing on reader just seems so much easier.
It all just feels like I'm starting over again with growing my blog, and relearning everything. sigh.
I don't know why I care about this so much.
Feeling kind of deflated.
It kind of feels like I moved from a rural school with lots of friends, to a big city school where I need to start over again.
Anyone else?
I know....first world problems. sigh.

Thank you so much for commenting on my blog. I know it takes the extra clicks and the pesky word verification, but receiving comments is so much fun! I respond to all comments, so if you don't receive a reply back from me, check your settings and make sure you are not listed as a 'no reply blogger; which means I cannot reply back to you.

ReplyDeleteI feel the same
Yup,I'm still testing Freely and Bloglovin and haven't decided which one I like better. I was happy with Reader!
ReplyDeleteWhoops...I meant Feedly.
ReplyDeleteQuick. Before it disappears tell me the difference between readers and followers as I have no idea!
ReplyDeletei switched to bloglovin but don't really like it. I cannot make it work like my Reader did and that saddens me.
ReplyDeleteNo, you're not the only one. o:( I will use Google Reader until 11:59pm tomorrow night! I don't really like Bloglovin either - it's too different - and not in a good way. I'm also using Feedly and will probably read my blogs from there. I felt this way when Bloglines (which I used before Reader) went down too and I got used to Google Reader and liked it - maybe that will happen again???? One can hope.
ReplyDeleteI liked Reader too but switched to Bloglovin about two months ago and it is growing on me!
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of the basic bloglovin I like how the blogs are displayed as the designers wanted, and rarely do I need to click further to upload a whole page since the writers decided to use the "display only a few lines, and "read more" link" feature. But I don't like that I need to turn off the bloglovin part to quickly save inspirational photos, (maybe thats partly due to the new computers settings?) and like you I'm finding organizing all the blogs I follow quite tedious.
