Practice in large scale...
Aside from learning my machine and sketching in a small notebook, I recently purchased a whiteboard to practice larger scale movements. I highly recommend it.

You should also pick up a piece of 1/4" plexiglass, about 18"x 24" so you can lay that on the quilt your working on and sketch quilting designs. That way your drawing designs in the right size and you can see if it will work or not. Saves a lot of time compared to ripping out a design that doesn't look good on the quilt!
ReplyDeleteDid you freehand that?!? Wow!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip, Kathy. Never would have thought of that.

ReplyDeleteYour going to be an amazing quilter if you can doodle like that!
