On my mind...

Some days I stare out the window and lose myself in my thoughts...
Solids...
Sewing...
Friends...
Health...
New Year...
New Ideas...
New Beginnings...

Do you start to ponder and reflect at the end of the year too?

  1. Indeed! It's that time of year. Seems like this last one passed in a hurry, perhaps this year I'll take a little more time to stop and smell the roses. If I had a view like that I'd spend a LOT of time staring out the window!

  2. Yes, I love this time of year. I buy new, clean notebooks and journal more and make lists for my life. It also gives me a license to just throw out out stuff that has been weighing me down and start fresh.

  3. Nope. (I am not a reflective type.) I usually make one very small "resolution"- like last year I said I was going to label my quilts. And I didn't.

I sort of just wallow in my own messy gluttony. It is what it is. My husband sometimes makes mocking comments about the unhinged-ness in my family and my sister says, "Just OWN the crazy. You gotta OWN it."

That can be applied to anything. Just own the _____. (Generally, in my case, it's MESS. Well, and CRAZY.) It's much easier than trying to change and improve.

  4. Haha, Lisa cracked me up! And yes I sit and ponder...and make lists. But your list was pretty perfect. So I'm going to adopt that one as well. Happy New Year, Andrea!

  5. I think it's natural to reflect at the end of a year. What worked. What didnt. What you want to change. What you want to retain. Making a list of people that deserve an arse kicking in 2011 (oh no? That must just be me then)

Completely agree with the delightful Lisa. (although I hatsen to add I'm not crazy and that's not denial talking!)

  6. If that was the view out of my window I don't think I'd be doing much else apart from lose myself in thought too!
