I couldn't pass these up today..
Mint condition linen placemats (thin though - not doubled fabric) and matching napkins, 6 of each. Seriously, I don't think these have ever been used or unfolded. I love the aqua border and thought these would look really cool somehow as a quilt. I'm going to do some figuring out, but I think I may need some Workshop In Progress advice soon!
6 yards of 60" white cotton with charcoal polka dots for FIFTY CENTS! It was supposed to be 12.00, but it was green tag day and all green tags were fifty cents. yay!
It snowed here yesterday, blizzard like, like a good 10cm. Isn't it May? I don't think we got it as a bad as south of us, but still, snow in May??

You live "somewherefrickingcold," remember? I hope it warms up for you soon and turns to spring. Oh, and cool shopping finds! Polka dots. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteWow, great score on that polka dot fabric! It would be ideal for a quilt back, since it's extra wide. I used something similar for a quilt a while back, and quilted it from the back, making a grid from the dots. It was super easy and turned out great!
ReplyDeletelucky you Andrea! if you come up with something for the placemats let me know!! ihave a whole box of handkerchiefs i always think ill encorporate into a quilt, yet i never do! excellent score on the polka dot fabric too!!
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH!! I am so JEALOUS!! I want a million yards of polka dot fabric for fifty cents!!! Awesome find!
ReplyDeleteWhat great finds! I like the aqua, LOVE the dots. I second Evelyn on the dot fabric. So sorry to hear about your snow, you must be just about ready for spring by now!
ReplyDeleteYes, the snow... Still coming down a bit today.
ReplyDeleteI am going to share a quilt tomorrow from a Quilt Canada exhibit that may give you some inspiration for those placemats and napkins. I know I can't get it out of my head and your find reminds me of it.
Snow?? It is 90 degrees here today! LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing finds! I look forward to seeing how you work those napkins into a quilt.
Jennifer :)
