39 years old today!

Yikes! I have one more year until I need to begin my mid life crisis!!! LOL

It's my birthday today! Nothing special happening, but I make it a point of saying happy birthday to me to make my kids think I never have an issue with getting older.... ( I don't)

I don't tell people outright, as I really dislike the attention. Never been one to throw a party about it. ;-)

Sewing mojo is just NOT happening this week or last ....it's the pits! I can feel it start to come back slightly though, so I hope this long weekend will afford me a few minutes of creative time to get back into it.

39th birthday year goal - to be able to run a 5km without stopping. I've never been an athlete, but I really want to be able to say that 'I can run'.
(quilting goals - duh...many!)

Hey...anyone read the new(er) magazine The Quilt Life? There was a great article in this months June issue about the quilting journey and process. Just kinda hit home is all.

  10. Happy Birthday to you! I figured I didn't need to start my midlife crisis until I was *over* 40 so I waited until I was 41! Hope that buys you enough time!

p.s. - if it helps your quilty mood any, I've just started an Avignon Picnic of my own! Will let you know when finished, hope it comes out half as good as yours!

  12. Happy Birthday! I think quilting keeps us young at heart. It keeps our minds moving and creating so it will help us stay younger longer. Or at least stay coherent! Hopefully. I hope your machine is doing better now. Oh, and I LOVE the Avingnon quilt tutorial for Moda Bake Shop! I just happen to have all the materials for that project in my shop and plan to it together into a kit very soon. Thanks for sharing your life and I'll be back!

  13. Happy Birthday!!! Hope you have a lovely day. :)

I have a question for you - Is your quilt (Avignon Picnic Quilt on Moda Bake Shop) made with the wheat colored fabric that's listed, or did you make it with white? I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it, and want to make it (yesterday), but the photo made me think it was made with white fabric, and the wheat threw me for a temporary loop.

Thanks so much for the pattern!
