These sheets were at my local shop on Saturday and I hummed and hawed ALL day and all weekend over them. They were 9 dollars each set. I said to myself that if they were there on Monday, then I'd pick them up. Monday I was busy, Tuesday I didn't get there. Today I did. And there they were.
See, here's the reason I was stalling - they are each KING sized sheet sets with 2 king pillowcases per set. In pristine condition. I know. What the heck am I going to do with that much? eep! But now that they are at home, I'm sure I can hack my way through them in the next year - and perhaps swap a few prints.
And the pearl cotton? Are those colours the coolest ever? A bargain at 25cents each!
What a find! I'm sure you'll be glad a million times over that you have those sheets. I saw a set at a household sale last year and I didn't get them ... been thinking about them ever since!
ReplyDeleteA husband's dream for sure. that was funny... But how cool. That is a bargain for sheets. And he can't argue with that!
ReplyDeleteLOL! My husband would like a wife like that! (Too bad he is stuck with me.)
ReplyDeleteI have that orange/yellow sheet. In fact, it's a duvet cover so I technically have two.
I was just in a sheet swap at Rosey Little Things and she would like to host another one this summer- save your extras for that!

I never luck out like this! our thrift stores just have junk!! well, i did once find 6 pieces of FiestaWare...for 26 cents...but im not the collector, my sister is...so she was the lucky one, not me!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find! I never have very much luck at thrift stores.
ReplyDeleteI never find sheets! Lucky you. If you ever get anywhere close to swapping/cutting let me know. I adore the one with the yellow and orange.
ReplyDeleteWow, your stores are high priced! ANY sheet at our Goodwill (Iowa) is $2.38. What will you do with it? How about backing for a quilt? I use sheets all the time, in fact, it's the only thing I use.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through Moda Bake Shoppe. I love your quilt, and I am going to spend some time reading your blog!
be blessed,
Michelle
Hey! My mother still puts those ones on the left on my old bed! They have to be at least 30 years old, but they only get used a few times a year! :)
