after just emailing the other day it's previous owner and saying how much i loved it.... suki had a big tantrum today, and then of course i did too.
I find it very picky...like everything has to be just 'so' for it to work nice.
I love it's speed, I love the thread cutter. That's it for today.
Hopefully tomorrow we will get along again, and the stars will be aligned just perfectly.
Otherwise I'll threaten it.
A glass of wine is in order. It took me 3 hours to sew two borders today.
sometimes it is just not a good sewing day! hope the wine helped
ReplyDeleteTell me what's wrong. Maybe I can help.
ReplyDeletedo you belong to the Juki yahoo group Andrea? They have amazing support. Check all the basics -- the way you have threaded the machine, the direction the bobbin is going, new needle etc. Try adjusting the foot pressure to suit the fabric you are using. Have you oiled it lately? Uhmmm. That's it for now but if you want check out the Yahoo Juki group.
ReplyDeleteOh the dreaded love/hate relationship with the machine! I whish that I could help but I don't have any experience with Juki.
ReplyDeleteHope things get better!
I've been quiltiing over 50 years and a lot of quilter's like the thread cutters on the sewing machine. I've always taught my students to use snips, and keep them by their machine. I think it is just a personal preference anyway. LOL Good luck dear. Love your blocks. They're really nice.
