So, that box of pencil crayons? They're no longer MINE. One day in this house, something will be all mine...not shared, not communal. Just mine.
But this morning I woke up to the sweetest gift. "I drew this quilt just for you" My son has designed his first quilt. And I'm going to make it.
**on another note...my camera was dropped (again) and I need a new one. Again, see comment above about things being mine vs shared. *rolleyes*
How sweet! I can't wait to see this quilt when it's done. I love your little guy.
ReplyDeletesorry about your lack of 'sole ownership...whether it be an item or a minute of peace in the bathroom...I struggle with that too.
ReplyDeleteI adore the quilt concept...he is certainly influenced by his mama's work!
I love his quilt! That is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteMy camera is one drop away from being broken forever. I know the feeling!
That would make a fantastic quilt!
ReplyDeleteThat is so sweet! All my fabric is shared with my daughter. There are times where I have had to go in her room to find fabric I need to finish up a project.
ReplyDeleteThat will make an awesome quilt. I hope he designs more. Those crayons are going to good use!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun drawing!
ReplyDeleteAs a teacher I have to prepare a few "stand alone" lessons that I can use with several grades. My "quilt design" is the biggest hit so far (kids stop me in the halls to ask when we're doing it again)
I bring in several quilts to show, have them copy a few blocks, then turn them loose to design their own.
(I followed the link from moda bake shop ... love your blog and interpretation of your son's ideas)
